He Parts the Waters
This week I finally got out to Utah to see our house. The house that we leased sight unseen, the house that God made huge financial provisions for us to acquire. This will be our new home. That seems so strange to say! Our family was born and raised in Lyman, SC and have never lived outside of the Upstate. Seeing how God has called us to break out of our comfortable existence has both tested and strengthened our faith. The promise of daily spiritual warfare is one that has never felt more real. Our family continues to press on toward God’s mission in Utah despite Satan and his spirits of deception, fear, and doubt. We know that his victory has already been won. We are called by God for his purpose and know that he will continue to strengthen us. It’s easy to type that but as many of you know, it’s much harder to live it.

Hadley and I attended a community group on Wednesday night and were able to meet several other plant team members. Friday I met with Nathan Brock who is the Lead Pastor of Redemption North Davis. We talked about vision and expectations as well as logistics about the North Davis plant. The worship services for Redemption North Davis will be located downtown Kaysville in the Kaysville Theater. The core team meetings over the last couple of months will transition into bi-weekly preview services beginning in February 2023. We are very excited to get started with the work God has been preparing and equipping us for over the past several years.

God is still writing this story. Every day is a blessing and through ups and downs, we know we are called by the God who spoke creation into existence. Behind the scenes, we are dealing with some adversities we cannot fully disclose right now, but when we feel backed up against the sea with an evil army pressing down on us we wait on the God who parted the waters and provided a new way. (Exodus 14:10-16)
Please Pray:
God continues to make our way when we feel like we are about to be either overrun or drown.
pray that the warfare of the enemy would be a futile and fruitless attempt.
pray for Redemption North Davis and for the Gospel to take root in Kaysville, Utah.
We pray, He answers!
