A Week of Firsts

Hey everyone. I hope your week is off to a great start. Tonight at 6:30 pm at Washington Baptist Church, Mallory will be sharing our story with the Women’s Missionary Union. There will be a meal provided and I would love for you to go and support her. I have been in such awe of her strength, faith, and perseverance throughout this separation from each other. No we didn’t ask for it or plan for it but in it we have seen our marriage be strengthened and mostly our faith in God’s plan and provision. You won’t want to miss hearing from her. It is her first time sharing like this but I have a strong feeling it will not be her last. I’ve always told her that God is going to use her to tell this story and I believe he will!

Mark it down in your calendars. April 9th is the LAUNCH of Redemption North Davis at the Kaysville Theatre. That is Easter Sunday and we are expecting God’s presence to surround us that day as we worship our risen Savior together. Nathan met with a group of HS sophomores last week who had come here on a mission trip and they put up over 1700 door hangers to raise awareness of RND in the community. One thing I am learning is that everything we are seeing God do here started with prayer. Prayers prayed with the faith that God would answer. Some of them prayed for years. For us when we began praying that God would show us where he wanted to lead us we couldn’t have imagined that we would end up here. But as the many answered prayers converge in this area of Utah, we continue to ask God that he send more people here. The need is so great here and we pray this movement that is happening will only continue to grow and that the people of Utah will continue to meet Jesus through the efforts of those he has called here.

King’s Cross Church in Farmington had their launch at the Ascent Academy this past Sunday. The picture you see above is how it started. Just some people who love Jesus and followed that love and desire toward seeing others come into a relationship with HIm. This is how the early Christian churches started. In homes with a few people who could not contain their love for the Savior that gave His life for theirs. They had to tell the world that Jesus is the light and the truth. Prayers for King’s Cross as they continue to shine that light into Farmington and the surrounding area.

I got to go back to SC last weekend for a couple of days to see Hadley in her first play! It was only for a couple of days but what a great time it was and so good to see my girls! Looking forward to them coming out for Spring Break April 3-9th.

How can you pray for us this month?

  • Pray that we will see a resolution in the matter that is keeping us separated. Once that is completely resolved we will share in detail but for those who know, it has been the most difficult part of this journey.

  • Pray for King’s Cross and for the launch of Redemption North Davis on April 9th

  • Pray for the people of Utah who are feeling hopeless. I work at the Weber Area Dispatch Center and I talk to so many people who are struggling and hurting. It breaks my heart for them and I often come home and just cry for them. Pray that they would experience the love of Jesus.

Thank you all for your continued love and support. God is working here!

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest. Go your way; behold I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.:
